Project Management

In-house we have standardised on Microsoft Project as a Project Management Tool, although we will work with other tools if required.
Rapier Project Control techniques ensure:
Work is based on the specification or terms of reference defined for the project. The responsibilities are discussed thoroughly with the client to ensure mutual understanding of the requirements, methods and procedures.
The work is broken down into a number of specific tasks, from which a schedule of supplier and client commitments is drawn up for the purpose of project control.
Procedural standards, techniques, working and formal documentation and project control mechanisms are agreed when work is started.
Progress in terms of performance against time and cost is reviewed continually. Formal reports for the client will be produced regularly.
Formal review meetings with the client are scheduled during a project, at least once a month.
Requested changes are reviewed and, where applicable, implemented in a controlled way to minimise any impact.
The resource requirements for each task are estimated, using Rapier control standards and estimating methods. A schedule of tasks is prepared to provide the basis for control of progress on the project. Regular reports on each task are made to assess progress and performance. This enables speedy corrective action where necessary.
